Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board

One of the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board's duties is to test and evaluate the accuracy of slot machines and other electronic games of chance. This job requires the facility to store one of every game available at that time in a controlled environment, while being able to supply every game with power to run it, as well as room to store it. The PA Gaming Control Board was having a difficult time acquiring a piece of furniture that was sturdy enough to accommodate the 300+ pound machines and adjustable to keep some of the taller machines at a reasonable height to evaluate. They also needed something to organize power cords and provide power for each machine.

The control board found themselves pleased with Datum's Technical Furniture Systems™. These tables were modular, allowing them to be reconfigured as new machines were brought in and old machines were returned to their casinos. The heights on each table top were also adjustable, to accommodate for the taller machines. The tables were also exceptionally sturdy, with a center support leg to help displace the weight of the machines.

The TFS™ units also had cable raceways, both horizontal and even vertical on some units. These raceways allowed for the numerous cables attached to each machine to be organized, and kept untangled and out of the way. A combination of 36" and 72" uprights were used to accommodate overhead storage of parts and tools if needed.
