Lower Merion High School Consolidates and Organizes Sports Team Equipment with a MobileTrak® System


During the construction of their new school, the Lower Merion Athletic Department decided that it needed a more centralized and organized space to keep their extracurricular sports teams' equipment and uniforms. Previously they used wood racks and bins, which weren't offering the equipment management the Athletic Department really needed.

Datum Solution

Datum installed a MobileTrak3® System equipped with 4Post™ Shelving in the small equipment room adjacent to the school’s gymnasium. The MobileTrak3® was designed specifically to give Lower Merion the storage they needed in the space they allotted. Each aisle was designed to store a specific sport to help with organization.

To boost school spirit, they opted for end panel graphics that featured their school emblem and their mascot, Ace the Bulldog. Datum’s marketing department worked directly with the athletic department at Lower Merion to design the graphics, creating an attention grabbing display that captured the school’s spirit. The shelving and end panels in the system were chosen to color coordinate with the school’s team colors.

Result

The 4Post™ Shelving in the system allowed for the storage of hanging and folded uniforms, helmets, balls, and other athletic equipment. The movable carriages allowed for extra storage space that wasn't available with their previous storage.

The new system improved accessibilty and also provided a cleaner and more organized environment for the stored equipment and uniforms, helping to improve their longevity.
