Central York High School implements a space-efficient storage arrangement for athletic equipment with custom Datum solutions.

Central York High School found that they were in need of a storage solution to fit a space they already had. The athletic department needed a more efficient, neat way to store their sports equipment and uniforms. The school needed 2 separate storage systems, one in a fifield house adjacent to the football field for their football gear, and one inside the school for their other sports. To address their space planning needs, they contacted Datum.

Datum Solution

Datum assessed the floor plans for both areas and came up with a unique system for each area that would fit the school's needs. The new systems were designed to fit perfectly in both spaces, utilizing the allotted floor space without overcrowding the surrounding area.

Result

Both units were equipped with 4Post shelves and garment rods, so equipment could be stored out of the way, and uniforms and jerseys could be hung up. Stationary 4Post shelving systems were also utilized for extra storage. This solution provided a more organized and easier to access system that eliminated the need to rummage through bins and stacks to find what was needed.
